#KpopTwitter

Helping brands understand the opportunity for K-pop on Twitter and how to navigate the space to get the best out of it.

The Context K-pop is a big deal on Twitter. With over 6.7 billion Tweets in 2020, we observe fans flocking to Twitter to interact with the community and keep themselves updated with their favourite idol groups.

However, advertisers did not fully understand this opportunity at that time. Twitter’s revenue associated with K-pop reflected that.

The Approach A common challenge among advertisers was the lack of understanding of the audience. K-pop fans often made headlines for issues not common to other audiences. To that, I created a <K-pop Explained> narrative for brands interested in targeting this group, followed by solutions that can be adopted easily.

For brands that were more knowledgeable regarding K-pop fans, I provided an in-depth analysis segmenting the audience on Twitter and a point-of-view on how to target each segment.
